About
CSA
We are a new local
Community Supported Agriculture Farm (CSA), a way for the food
buying public to create a relationship with a farm and to receive a
weekly basket of produce. By committing to a seasonal weekly subscription,
one becomes a" member" or "shareholder" of the CSA.

CSA is a unique
model of local agriculture. Its roots reach back 30 years to Japan where
a group of women concerned about the increase in food imports and the
decrease in farming population initiated a direct growing and purchasing
relationship between their group and local farms. This arrangement,
called "teikei" in Japanese, translates to "putting the
farmers' face on food."
By participating
as a member to a CSA, you are:
- Connecting
with local farmers
- Developing
a regional food supply
- Strengthening
the local economy
- Building
a sense of community
- Encouraging
responsible land stewardship
- Supporting
the knowledge and experience of small family farmers
