About CSA

We are a new local Community Supported Agriculture Farm (CSA), a way for the food buying public to create a relationship with a farm and to receive a weekly basket of produce. By committing to a seasonal weekly subscription, one becomes a" member" or "shareholder" of the CSA.

CSA is a unique model of local agriculture. Its roots reach back 30 years to Japan where a group of women concerned about the increase in food imports and the decrease in farming population initiated a direct growing and purchasing relationship between their group and local farms. This arrangement, called "teikei" in Japanese, translates to "putting the farmers' face on food."

By participating as a member to a CSA, you are:

      • Connecting with local farmers
      • Developing a regional food supply
      • Strengthening the local economy
      • Building a sense of community
      • Encouraging responsible land stewardship
      • Supporting the knowledge and experience of small family farmers

Produce baskets are available for pick up at our farm in Santa Barbara:
999 Veronica Springs Rd. - Mondays and Thursdays 4:00 p.m - 5:30 p.m.
